Lt. Loki is much more than a beloved companion—he is an indispensable member of the family who performs several valuable services each day. As an emotional support cat, Loki provides comfort, companionship, and unconditional affection during both challenging and joyful times. His calm and intuitive nature has brought reassurance and emotional well-being to those who rely on him, making a meaningful difference in everyday life.

In addition to his emotional support role, Lt. Loki is an outstanding mouser. His natural hunting instincts help keep the home free of unwanted rodents, providing a practical service while demonstrating remarkable diligence and determination.

Lt. Loki also faithfully serves as the official greeter of the House of Loki, (Yes. That is our Klingon family name). Every family member, friend, or guest entering the home is welcomed by his presence, ensuring that no visitor arrives without receiving a proper inspection and feline greeting whether you are allergic to cats or not.  His welcoming demeanor embodies the ideals of friendship and hospitality while making everyone feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.

His dedication extends to STARFLEET activities as well. Whenever preparations begin for a convention or public event, Lt. Loki plays an active role in the packing process by carefully inspecting every box, prop, uniform, and piece of equipment before it departs. No item is considered ready for transport until it has received his thorough quality assurance inspection—often requiring him to sit in boxes, examine equipment from every angle, and personally approve the packing arrangements. His careful oversight has become a valued and expected part of convention preparations.

Finally, no description of Lt. Loki would be complete without mentioning his self-appointed role as an expert chair warmer. Whether occupying a favorite chair before someone sits down or ensuring every seat is thoroughly "tested" for comfort, Loki faithfully performs this duty with enthusiasm and consistency. His presence brings smiles, laughter, and warmth to everyone around him.
