The 0621nd SOU (Special Operations Unit) "Solar Task Force" is Solstice's STARFLEET Special Operations detachment.  We activated on 21 June 2024.

What Is The SFSO?

​

In-Universe, we are the teams that do Starfleet's dirty work behind the scenes. We get our hands dirty in ways Picard would never do.

​

In the 21st Century, we are regular members of SFI who like to take on a more secretive role within the organization. SFSO is divided into three groups: Starfleet Special Operations, MACO, and Indpendent Operatives.

​

The 0621st is made up of Special Operations members and MACO Members. In fact, our Assistant Team Leader is a MACO. MACO uses ranks that are more "infantry" style, while Special Ops uses naval style ranks.

Just like the Marines, the SFSO has a long, proud tradition of encouraging our enlisted Operatives, NCOs, and Warrant Officers.

How Can I Become a STARFLEET Special Operations member?

​

Once you’re a STARFLEET member, you just have to join SFSO by setting your status in the STARFLEET Database to “Active” under "Affiliation Status". Make sure to let the Team Leader (TL) know you've signed up so you can be included in the unit roster and be eligible for awards.

Nothing more is required to be a STARFLEET Special Operations Operative, and only current membership in the Solstice crew is required.  Senior Staff also have to take the STARFLEET Data Protection Policy course in order to be eligible. (There are no dues or additional costs to join the Solar Task Force!)
